At Upcountry Fitness, we believe that personal training will help any individual use their body correctly and efficiently in whatever challenge they pursue. Upcountry Fitness’ personal trainers hold certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). They pursue continuing education annually to ensure you receive the most up-to-date fitness strategies.

A staff personal trainer may be the best choice if you:

• Want to develop a solid, safe, and effective fitness routine
• Are a beginner or intermediate exerciser looking to refine/update your fitness routine
• Want a reliable, motivating, knowledgeable fitness coach keeping you committed to working your hardest
• Need constant guidance and motivation as well as assistance with setting and attaining goals
• Are healthy and possess no limitations to exercise such as chronic disease or illness

All staff trainers must complete and adhere to the following standards:

• Maintain status as a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT)
• Possess current CPR/AED certification
• 10+ weekly hours of availability

A master personal trainer may be the best choice if you:

• Wish to develop a specialized exercise routine utilizing advanced training and exercise techniques
• Are an advanced exerciser looking to train for sports performance or special athletic competitions
• Want a motivating and challenging fitness coach that will help you obtain the highest level of health and fitness
• Have well directed health and fitness goals you wish to achieve
• Possess considerable limitations to exercise, such as chronic diseases or injuries,
• Are under a doctor’s care or have special needs that should be addressed within your exercise program.

All master trainers must complete and adhere to the following standards:

• Maintain status as a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT)
• Possess current CPR/AED certification
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a personal trainer and/or a college degree in a health/fitness related field
• Obtain 15 hours Continuing Education/quarter through specialized certifications In-house workshops, shadowing,
and research projects
• Assist in the training of fitness staff
• 25+ hours/week of availability
